Statutory and Tax Compliance Associate Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (On-site) Permanent
About the Role The Statutory and Tax Compliance role is responsible for statutory reporting, audit coordination, and tax compliance across multiple entities, ensuring full compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and regulatory requirements in the Middle East region.
Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and file statutory financial statements and tax returns (CIT/VAT) Support statutory audits and tax authority reviews, acting as key liaison with auditors Ensure compliance with local regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls Perform tax and GAAP reconciliations (US GAAP to local GAAP) Forecast tax liabilities and support cash flow planning Collaborate with HQ finance, Corporate Tax, and global stakeholders and external service providers Support business transitions, reorganisations, and ad hoc initiatives Prepare board reporting and financial performance presentations Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and cost control
Position Requirements Maintain compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and regulatory obligations Act as a key interface for auditors, tax authorities, and finance teams Ensure timely completion of filings, audits, and reporting Maintain accurate documentation and strong audit trails Identify and implement control improvements and cost efficiencies
Required skills, qualifications and experience CPA/CA (or equivalent) with 7–10 years’ experience, including 5+ years in Big 4 audit (Middle East preferred) Strong IFRS and local GAAP expertise Experience managing complex audits, tax filings, and internal controls Background in multinational, matrix organisations Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP,) Strong analytical, organisational, and multitasking skills Advanced MS Office proficiency Fluent in English and Arabic (Written and Oral)
