Join our crew and play a vital role in maintaining and operating electrical and electronic systems aboard our state-of-the-art vessels. Whether you're troubleshooting, maintaining, or occasionally installing equipment, your expertise keeps our fleet running smoothly.
Position: Electrical & Electronic Engineer's
Location: Shipboard (worldwide travel)
What You'll Do:
Operate and maintain electrical and electronic equipment onboard, ensuring optimal performance. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals for complex systems. Assist with the installation of new electrical and electronic equipment when needed. Keep daily work reports updated for the Chief Electrical Engineer. Communicate regularly about the status of your responsibilities and coordinate repairs or maintenance. Support cost containment through proper handling and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Ensuring all electrical components are properly grounded and that the electrical system is safe for operation. Closing the boiler plate to certify the boiler is not energized and that all electrical connections are secure.
What We're Looking For:
Completed training meeting SOLAS, STCW, and other maritime safety regulations for low voltage electrical work. A valid ETO License is preferred. Skills in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems. A person that holds a college or university degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical diagrams, manuals, and schematics. Proven ability to work safely and effectively in a maritime environment.
Language & Communication:
Ability to speak clear, courteous English with guests and crew. Ability to read and write English to understand procedures, give instructions, and respond to questions effectively.
